The West Brom food bank opened in December 2007 and since then has fed literally thousands of residents in the town and the wider area of Sandwell. The food bank collects, sorts and stores food ready to freely give to those in need.

Working with our partners comprising statutory and voluntary agencies we aim to ensure that no one goes hungry due to lack of finance. Our partners will refer their clients to us after doing an assessment and on their arrival at the centre will be able to exchange their voucher for food.

We rely very much on individuals, churches and local businesses for our donations. The generosity of the people who either live in the town or work here never fails to amazes us. We regularly receive offers of support and are appreciative of each and every one.

On arrival at the food bank, clients will receive enough food for three days and we try and make it as nutritious as possible. In addition to food, we can offer toiletries etc and at times have even given out pet food!

Our amazing volunteers are the cornerstone of the food bank. It is safe to say that we could not do what we do without them. Their dedication is truly appreciated.
